William E. Smith Ms. Smith has grown up around the construction industry and received her collegiate education in engineering. After obtaining a BS in Engineering from Tuskegee University she worked in manufacturing and product development for Procter & Gamble. She subsequently gained her MBA from the University of Cincinnati. Ms. Smith has management experience in multi-million dollar projects for Fortune 500 companies. She currently provides oversight of William E. Smith Masonry, Inc. She is active in several professional associations including the Board of the United Minority Contractors Association of N.C. In addition to strategic planning, and business development, Ms. Smith provides financial supervision for all projects undertaken by the company.
Mr. Smith has been involved in masonry construction for over 40 years. After vocational training in the brick masonry trade and general construction he worked for various contractors as a brick mason. In 1970 he began William E. Smith Masonry. The company has experience in residential and commercial masonry but primarily focuses on unit pavers and stone/rock masonry. Mr. Smith is a recognized expert mason and has served as a judge for many years for masonry competitions held at the N.C. State Fair. He is active in several professional associations including the United Minority Contractors Association of N.C. and the N.C. Masonry Contractors Association. Mr. Smith provides general supervision for all projects undertaken by the company.
